Meow Parlour is looking for a friendly animal lover who works hard and is a great problem solver.
To be considered, you must be available for at least 2 full day shifts, including at least one weekend shift. The weekday shifts are typically for the full day (11 am to 8:30pm) and the weekend shifts are usually about 6-8 hours a day. Full-time staff typically works 4 workdays.

The majority of our sales staff rotate between the the bakery aspect and the cat aspect.  We're seeking someone who is super friendly, dependable and organized. Our ideal candidate is fast, reliable, knows how to keep cool and doesn't mind getting down and dirty to get the work done.

  • At the bakery, sales staff will have to assist customers and pour drinks. This job includes keeping the bakery spotless and will involve some light baking. We send our staff to get training on an espresso machine and we require that our full time employees have a NYC Food Handler's License within the first 3 months (you'll also get a bonus for having one).

  • At the cat cafe, sales staff will have to manage customers to ensure the well-being of the cats and will have to clean up and take care of the cats in order to prepare them for adoption. For the cat space, it's important that we have staff members who are both assertive and customer service oriented as we need to balance the needs of our customers and the needs of our resident felines. We're on the hunt for someone who is very friendly and can talk to our customers about cats! You will also have the opportunity to become an adoption representative.

    Experience with animals and within the hospitality industry is not required, but a plus.
